I am about to share my all-time favorite popcorn recipe: Orange Popcorn! If you are a sweet tooth and love candy at the movies this will really hit the spot. Basically, it’s heaven in a bowl. Sometimes I think about making a batch, putting it in a Ziplock bag, and hiding it somewhere in my room that only I know about. My own, personal orange popcorn stash. Once you try some you’ll understand why.
All you need for this recipe is: uncooked popcorn kernels, oil, 1 bag white chocolate chips, 1 bag orange slices candies, and orange extract. The orange extract is the secret ingredient for making this popcorn fantastic.
Pop your popcorn. My kids love watching it pop.
While the popcorn is popping, cut the orange slices in half.
Put your entire bag of white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl. Heat the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments stirring between each.
When the chocolate is melted and smooth stir in your orange extract.
- 1/3-1/2 c uncooked popcorn kernels
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- 1 bag orange slices, cut in half
- 1 T oil (not necessary in air poppers)
- 1/4 t orange extract
Cover the bottom of your popper with oil (if needed) and pop the uncooked kernels. While the kernels are popping, cut the orange candy slices in half. In a separate bowl pour in the entire bag of white chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave in 30 sec. increments stirring in between each one. Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, add orange extract. Place popped corn in a bowl along with orange slices. Pour in chocolate mixture. Use a spoon to coat popcorn evenly. Devour (literally).
