“All the ponies in this town are crazy!” – Twilight Sparkle

My Little Pony is my girls’ favorite TV show right now.  They would watch it all-day every-day if I let them.

I decided to surprise them when they woke up from their naps with these cute pool noodle ponies.

Materials You Will Need

  1. A pool noodle
  2. A glue gun
  3. Colored felt or fleece (about 8″ x 12″)
  4. A Styrofoam ball (1 1/2 – 2″), cut in half
  5. Black and white felt scraps
  6. Yarn

Easy enough!  Your kids/grand kids will love their pony.  For the tutorial click here.

Here’s Twilight Sparkle:

And this one is Rainbow Dash.

The mane took a little bit of time, but it was worth it.

My girls were so surprised:

They loved riding them around the kitchen.

This project was super easy and for me it was free!  (Gotta love that.)  I used materials I already had available from making  Movable Mouth Puppets for my girls.

I got the idea to make these cute ponies from Mrs. King’s Music Class.  Here’s another link to the tutorial (just in case you missed it before).

You could use this craft for any horse movie.  Here are a few:

  • Black Beauty
  • The Man from Snowy River
  • Seabiscuit
  • Secretariat
  • The Black Stallion
  • Hildalgo
  • War Horse

Thanks for checking out my site.  I’m just getting started so if you have any suggestions to help me make things easier to navigate around here I’d love to hear from you.

Enjoy the finale of  Season 3 below.

Wonderful, my granddaughter is celebrating her 3rd birthday shortly and the theme is “my little ponies”. This will be perfect fun for her and her brother. Thanks so much. Love the eyes.
